I planned to rest last weekend.
I told myself, "No plans, no work—just rest." But my brain had other ideas.
The moment I said, "Let’s rest" my doer brain went into this thought of how to even make this rest productive. Sharing just a few of the things (from a long list) it could come up with :
📝 Maybe I can finish a book? That feels restful… until the word finish turns it into a goal.
🎨 What about that pottery wheel that’s been untouched for months?
🌸 Or the crochet bouquet I dreamed of making after that flower workshop?
💻 I should learn a bit of Procreate on my iPad.
📺 I deserve a good rom-com… or maybe I should finally finish all those half-watched series?
🎓 Let’s browse new courses on Domestika and take one during this break!
📚 Oh! The bookshelf needs dusting. Might as well clean up while I’m at it.
✈️ Where should I travel next? And here starts the doom-scrolling…
And here I am—tired from my own attempt to make rest productive. 😅 Courtesy of my umpteen hobbies—and my brain, which apparently missed the memo on resting. Someone, please tell my brain that ‘rest’ is not just another side project.
Does this happen to you too?

My Moment of Pause/Calm🌿
I had two no-phone days this week—after the weekend mayhem. 😉
It’s spring here in India, and I keep spotting a tree with big red flowers that only bloom once a year. Every time I see it, I’m reminded how nature follows its rhythm. Maybe I should too.
What have you heard, seen, or done this week that brought you a moment of calm? I’d love to hear! 💛
Now?
Sharing what I’m watching, reading, and learning!
📺 Slowly watching: Nothing at the moment—because I finished everything last weekend😆
📖 Happily reading: Mastery by Robert Greene, The Almanack Of Naval Ravikant by Eric Jorgenson, Ego is Enemy by Ryan Holiday, Clear Thinking by Shane Parrish, The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and Freckles by Cecelia Ahern(More book recs? Check my list!)
🎨 Doing: Challenging myself to post 21 videos on LinkedIn in 30 days (4 done so far!).
