What I feel, beneath anger, a playlist for you
Hey there, it’s Rachna! 🌻 How are you feeling today?
I’ve been feeling a mix of emotions these past few weeks, but one has popped up again and again: anger.
Turns out, anger has many layers, with other feelings often hidden beneath it. I’m realizing there’s still a lot of work to do in expanding my emotional vocabulary, and I’m excited to explore this more deeply! 😊
As I dive into this emotion and check in more often with the How We Feel app, I’ve noticed that beneath my anger lie emotions like hurt, grief, abandonment, disappointment, overwhelm, fear, guilt, and shame. Yet, I’d been labeling all of these simply as anger. It’s as if different parts of me are feeling various emotions, often with contrasting perspectives. By chance, I came across a beautiful model called Internal Family Systems (IFS) that resonated deeply. At its core, it suggests that all our parts—even the challenging ones—have value. I’m looking forward to exploring this further. 🌱
Take a little pause 🌼
Find a quiet spot, close your eyes, and take three deep breaths. Then, simply notice how you’re feeling. If it’s hard to put a name to it, try using the How We Feel app—it’s a lovely tool for identifying and labeling emotions with more clarity.
Quote for your soul💫
Where there is anger there is always pain underneath.

My moment of pause/calm🌿
I recently came across a playlist that’s quickly become my go-to for calming down and unwinding. It’s perfect for those moments when you want to relax, read, journal, or just sit quietly with yourself. 🎶
Lately, I’ve been curating playlists for different moods and tasks. Do you do this too? I’d love to know what’s on your playlist! Join me in this chat where I’ll be sharing more playlists and other calming activities. 💛
If this resonates with you, feel free to pass it along to someone who might appreciate it. No pressure, just love 💛
Take care and rest well :)
