My inner landscape, I look inside me, simple breathing practice
How in tune are you with what's going on inside you?
Hey there, it’s Rachna! 🌻 Just popping in with a little insight today.
I’ve come to realize that when I’m really tuned in to what’s happening inside my body, I can live more wholeheartedly. It helps me show up better for myself and the people around me. There was a time when I stopped paying attention to what my body was practically shouting at me, and, well, things went off track. Ever since, I’ve been on this journey of inner exploration. And honestly? I’m totally okay with wandering through it for a lifetime. 😉 If this sparks your interest, you might enjoy learning about Interoception or Internal Awareness.
The human brain is the most complex machine, and mine’s no exception! 😄 We all go through various states/emotions throughout the day and as long as we’re not stuck in one state for too long, it’s all okay-dokay. One simple way to check in with your inner world is by paying attention to your breath.
Take a little pause: Find a quiet spot, close your eyes, and just notice your breath. Is it slow and deep, or quick and shallow? Your breathing can give you a peek into how you’re feeling inside.
Quote for your soul
"I look inside me: I have no business but with myself; I continually observe myself, I take stock of myself, I taste myself. Others...they always go forward; as for me, I roll about in myself."
— Michael Montaigne
My moment of pause/calm🌿
Sharing a simple breathing technique I follow:
Inhale slowly through your nose, filling your lungs. Then exhale slowly through your mouth with your lips just a little bit open. Do this a few times, and notice how it calms you. I’m sharing a video of me practising this technique in the chat.
Want to share your moment of calm? I’d love to hear! Join me in this chat where I keep adding my little moments of pause and calm.
If this resonates with you, feel free to pass it along to someone who might need it. No pressure, just love 💛
Take care and rest well :)
