Thanks Rachna, this is such a lovely article. It's great to read more about mental fluidity and to remind myself that I can have 'permission' to change my approach to things as new systems and experiences come into my life. One of the biggest ones for me was skipping breakfast religiously for years and then realising recently that this was no longer practical with young kids! π
Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts, Sam. Not being tied to our beliefs is a kind of freedom. Love that you are permitting yourself to change. That doesn't come very easily to many of us. Eat well :)
Love it - mental fluidity, neuroplasticity....we are ever evolving!
I agree with not being afraid contradicting your younger self - there were some strongly held beliefs I held when I was younger that now seem more trivial or I am more understanding of the potential circumstances around it that situation.
I also try and see both sides of the argument or situation more than I used to - I wasn't a horrible person that only agreed one way all the time - but I could refuse to envisage another point of view...
I suppose some of that comes with age and experience but we see plenty of people much older than me that hold onto their way of thinking or life too strongly and refuse to enter into open dialogue.
I loved hearing your voice. Thank you for recording it and sharing your ideas in this way.
I recently had the same realization with debt and credit cards. I used to fear them and have an antagonistic relationship with them, and now I am loving them and using them with responsibility, joy and a sense of empowerment.
I absolutely loved reading this! It indeed is more than okay to change; opinion, habits, people you surround yourself with.
Itβs okay to evolve. We are here to evolve.
Sometimes people around us have a problem with us changing. But really, the real problem is maybe them staying in the same place.
Thank you for sharing you piece π§‘
Glad you relate with it and enjoyed reading it π

Such a genuine reflection of where you were and how you can now see various perspectives. Glad you could connect with the post.
