Living a Life That's True to Me
Hello! 🌻 This week, a series I watched made me reflect on how living a life that's true to you isn't always easy—but it's so fulfilling that you feel at ease. ✨
Last week, I watched Lessons in Chemistry, A series that felt more like life lessons. Elizabeth Zott, the lead character, embodies the courage it takes to stand for yourself. Sometimes, doing so means you’re the only one who has your back. I haven’t always been the person who stood up for my needs, but when I did, it often came with the cost of being misunderstood or not liked by everyone. Over time, I’ve realised this is just part of the journey toward living true to myself. It’s not easy, but it’s deeply fulfilling.
Living this way means letting go of what doesn’t serve you and building a life around what genuinely feels right. It’s about being aware of who you are now and who you want to become.
The series also reminded me how life is full of surprises. It expands you in ways you couldn’t imagine. Life, it seems, is always sure of your potential—sometimes more than you are.
As someone who admires people who stand for themselves, Elizabeth Zott struck a chord with me. She asks questions instead of blindly accepting the status quo. She communicates her needs rather than hoping others will guess them. And she’s a powerful reminder that unfulfilled dreams don’t have to stay buried. You can pick them up at any point and make them your own.
Take a Little Pause 🌼
Is there something in your life that you’re doing to make others happy, even though it compromises your own needs?
Have you ever expressed how this makes you feel?
Take a moment to write a letter about what’s on your mind—how you feel and what you’d like to change. Share it with the people you’re trying to please. It’s time to take charge of your life!
Nuggets for Your Soul💫
Whenever you feel afraid, just remember. Courage is the root of change – and change is what we're chemically designed to do. So when you wake up tomorrow, make this pledge. No more holding yourself back. No more subscribing to others' opinions of what you can and cannot achieve. And no more allowing anyone to pigeonhole you into useless categories of sex, race, economic status, and religion. Do not allow your talents to lie dormant, ladies. Design your own future. When you go home today, ask yourself what YOU will change. And then get started.'

My Moment of Pause/Calm🌿
I usually prefer reading books over watching their adaptations, but this series was an exception. I found myself pausing at various moments to fully absorb the profound messages.

What have you heard, seen, or done this week that brought you a moment of calm? I’d love to hear! 💛
