I took a break from writing this newsletter for the last two weeks, and it’s dangerously close to spilling into a third, thanks to my fractured left hand. I’ll remember this trip for my epic fall. 😅
Even though I love writing, I’ll admit: it’s been hard to get back to it after a break.
I’ve realised I’m someone who thrives on routines. And when I fall out of them, I enjoy the freedom for a bit…but soon enough, that voice inside me goes, “See? You’ve stopped following through…” That’s when the restless version of me shows up, the one who longs to return to the rhythm of everyday life, to my version of home.
This break also reminded me that working while travelling just doesn’t work for me. When I’m in a new city, I don’t want to be behind a screen…I want to be there. I want to explore places, meet people, and soak it all in.
This pause began with a week-long ceramics workshop I absolutely loved. I learned how to make clay bodies and ceramic glazes…pure magic. And with a teacher who kept sparking my curiosity, the magic doubled. I felt so alive doing something I love. I could work for hours without noticing the time.
Maybe that’s the thing I’m coming home to…not just my daily schedule, but the parts of myself I reconnect with when I do what lights me up.
So here I am, slowly easing back into writing, into routine, and the quiet joy of small, meaningful moments.
Not rushing it. Just walking back, one soft step at a time.
Take a Little Pause 🌼
