Reading books has been the best thing that ever happened to me. One of my favorite books is "Welcome to Hyunam-dong Bookshop," which was recommended by a friend. It's a heartwarming read about self-acceptance, prioritizing your well-being in the face of burnout, and being present instead of worrying about a far-fetched future. Right now, I'm reading "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron.
Glad you could relate. Always happy to meet another reader and know what they are reading. Thanks for sharing. The Artist's Way is such a lovely book. I wrote morning pages for almost a year or two :) still continuing with art dates though :0
I consider myself a consumer of info so I can be a better sharer of info.
I love audiobooks and listen to one a week.
Like you I have a couple going at once (usually a long fiction and short non-fiction).
Most true reader scoff at an audiobook βreaderβ and I get it, but there not enough hours in the day to read it all. I need to use my driving time for something productive.
Thanks for sharing, Chris. I love your authenticity in doing what's possible to do as per your life schedule. I am still not used to audio books. What I can get from your comment is that while driving it helps you focus on listening the book. May be something to try for me :)
For me that hobby is reading only. Reading has made me a better person. Some of the books have changed the trajectory of my life. In a good way, of course. :)
The initial story is so much me. The trajectory changed when building my second brain happened to me from then no end to my reading. Kept on hoarding books. As you said, that browsing and drowning deep into searching itself is a nice hobby. I just love β€οΈ
I canβt relate more, Rachna!

Whether itβs walking or driving, thatβs my ideation time and books help a lot!
Hahaβ¦won't second that π
Most of my walks are without any device. Glad you have figured a way out to keep reading :)
