This is NOT a drawing course. It’s a bootcamp where you learn how to think in visuals.

We all read the same book. You sketch ideas between sessions following a step-by-step process, share them with me and the cohort, get real feedback, and watch your visuals become impactful week by week.
The skill is further transferable to turning any ideas or life experiences into simple, impactful visuals.
This isn’t a watch-and-learn course. It’s a practice lab where you DO the work.

What Actually Happens
Four weeks. Two parallel cohorts. One book. 15+ visuals created by YOU.
Week 1 · Foundation - We tackle "But I can't draw" head-on. You'll learn visual thinking principles and how to break ideas into simple shapes. If you can draw a circle, a square, and a line, you’re ready.
Week 2 · First Feedback Round - Share your work → Get honest feedback → See how others approached the same ideas → You’ll start seeing why some visuals click instantly… and others don’t. And more importantly, how to make yours work.
Week 3 · Building Momentum - More reading, more sketching, more feedback. You learn to evaluate your own work and amplify it for a better connection.
Week 4 · Your First Visual Story - Bring your strongest visuals together. Share your first visual story. Get a walkthrough of a digital tool (Figma).
The biggest takeaway from this course for me was being able to come up with visuals for a story that I had already written and was close to my heart.

Hi, I’m Rachna - a visual creator from India with a love for books.
I don’t have a design degree. I didn’t go to art school. I just started sketching ideas from books in 2021 because I wanted to remember what I read.
Three years and 400+ visuals later, people kept asking: “Can you teach me how to do this?”
So I built this bootcamp. It’s not about talent or training — it’s about practice, having a step-by-step process, and getting comfortable with messy first drafts.
I’ve facilitated four cohorts with 40+ people from across the globe, and watching them go from “I can’t draw” to creating visuals they’re proud of is the most fulfilling work I do.

FAQs
I can’t draw. Is this really for me?
Yes. If you can draw circles, squares, and lines, you have everything you need. This workshop focuses on visual thinking, not artistic drawing. We’re creating concept sketches, not gallery art. Session 1 covers all the basics you need.
How much time do I need between sessions?
Expect 4-5 hours per week: reading 50-70 pages + sketching at least 5 visual ideas. If you can’t commit to this, you won’t get value from the workshop.
What if I miss a session?
Try not to. This is a small cohort, and everyone’s participation matters. The format doesn’t work well with absences. I provide access to recordings, but there is so much that you discover during breakout rooms.
Will you teach me how to draw specific visuals for my book?
No. I’ll teach you the framework and principles in Session 1. Then you practice, and I give you feedback on what you create. Think of it like a writing workshop—I’m not writing your content for you, I’m helping you improve your own work.
Can I use digital tools such as an iPad/Procreate?
I would leave that choice to you. If you ask me, I would still stick with pencil and paper only. This removes the tool-learning curve and keeps everyone focused on ideas. Once you master the thinking process, you can apply it to any tool later.

Can I pick another book?
A book is just a prop to help you learn the skill of visual thinking, since most people find it difficult to generate ideas to visualise. You can always pick a book of your choice. I chose the same book for the cohort to ensure that, initially, when our visuals may not be strong, we all have context to interpret them and provide feedback to each other.
We are all learning a new skill, which is tough in itself. Having a shared book makes learning this new skill a bit easier and keeps the difficulty level consistent for everyone. It’s like feeling we are sailing in the same boat.
You can always pick a book of your choice if you feel that it would support you in getting the best out of the bootcamp.
Do I get recordings or materials?
I suggest joining us live. Though I do provide recordings for a limited time. You get live feedback during sessions, and that’s the value. I’ll share examples of my work during sessions, but there are no templates or handouts to take away.
Will other people see my work?
Yes. This is a feedback-based workshop. You’ll share your visuals with the cohort each week. Don’t worry, we are all learning here.
Is there a refund policy?
You can get a refund 10 days before the bootcamp’s starting date. No refunds after that. This is a small cohort, and your spot could have gone to someone else.
Can I join future cohorts if this one is full?
Maybe. I will be running only a few live cohorts, so grab the chance before the format changes into a self-paced one 🙂. The July cohort will be my last cohort at this price (USD 99).
This is the third session I’ve attended today, and I can already see a huge difference in myself compared to before attending the first one.
I really appreciate how simply and clearly you explain everything.
Visualizing ideas is something I’ve always connected with, from drawing things to cram lessons in school to even drawing to explain my POV during a fight. But it was always unstructured and made only in a way that I could understand. After these sessions, actually drawing structured visuals and hearing perspectives from different people feels like real progress. I also really liked the book selection.
