2025...
Wish you a Happy New Year! 🌻 I still haven’t set any goals for 2025. And guess what? I did nothing different on Jan 1. 😉 I simply continued with what I was already doing.
Every year, I put together a vision board that takes its place on the front wall of my work desk. It’s not a Jan 1 tradition for me, though. My goals tend to reveal themselves gradually, unfolding as I ease into the year. They naturally align with the bigger picture I hold for my life. 🌿
And that bigger picture? It’s all about creating a slow, safe, calming, and healthy life. 🧘♀️ The goals I choose each year are simply stepping stones to nurture this way of living. ✨
I haven’t created a new vision board yet, but I did spend some time with the one from last year. I gave myself a well-deserved pat on the back for what I achieved in 2024. And for the things that didn’t happen? I took a moment to reassess—are they still aligned with what I truly want, or is it time to let them go? Do you ever take time to reflect and check in with yourself like this?
Scrolling through social media, I couldn’t help but notice all the resolutions pouring in. It’s inspiring, isn’t it? There’s something about the start of a new year that sparks a fresh wave of enthusiasm for new beginnings. ✨ Jan 1 often feels like the perfect moment to take that first step toward something meaningful.
For me, it was signing up for a 21-day yoga class—though not exactly on Jan 1. 🧘♀️ Early January has its own buzz of energy, making it a great time to kick-start new habits. I’m happy to ride this wave of motivation for now, but I know it won’t last forever. That’s where scheduling and consistency come in. Motivation might fade, but habits? They’re what keep us moving forward. 😊
Take a Little Pause 🌼
Write down five things you’d love to do this year. They don’t have to be big—it could be something as simple as starting a morning walk or carving out me-time for your favorite hobby.
Find pictures that represent how these things would make you feel or remind you of your goals. Print them out and create a vision board. Look at it every day. What you see is what you do. Let the power of manifestation work its magic. 💫
Nuggets for Your Soul💫
“It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them.So throw away your baggage and go forward. There are quicksands all about you, sucking at your feet, trying to suck you down into fear and self-pity and despair. That’s why you must walk so lightly. Lightly my darling, on tiptoes and no luggage, not even a sponge bag, completely unencumbered.”

My Moment of Pause/Calm🌿
I’ve realized it takes effort for me to prioritize self-care. This year, I’m changing that. Last week, while traveling, I stopped by an artsy store and treated myself to a soothing candle. 🕯️ I also watched a beautifully calming movie on Mubi: Perfect Days.
What have you heard, seen, or done this week that brought you a moment of calm? I’d love to hear! 💛

I’ve never tried the vision board thing but I might give it a go as I’ve seen a lot of people do a similar thing. Thanks for sharing!
